  We booked two privat tours to the salt flat of Uyuni with Hodaka Mountain, one for the sunset and one for the sunrise, and both turned out to be fine. The drivers were very friendly in both cases and explained some details about the area. Furthermore, right after the beginning of the tour, we could pick a pair of rain boots from a large selection in a house in Uyuni. For the sunset, the driver drove in a convoy with some other drivers of the agency about 10 km into the salt flat, which allowed a decent view on this natural phenomenon and some good photo opportunities. Other tour operators drive only to the border of the salar for the same tour ... The only downside was, that the this tour was not really private due to the fact that the driver drove in a convoy. But still, it was good experience.

  We booked Hodaka Mountain's Sunrise tour because lots of positive feedback from the internet, and it's the most famous agency between Asian traveler. However, we suffered a terrible car accident because of our driver slept on the way to Uyuni, and our jeep hit other car suddenly. After the accident, some of passengers were bleeding and injured. The agency contact person didn't help us to call the police, the ambulance, all travelers helped each other to do basic medical care. The next day, we tried to contact agency for the reimbursement, the responsible person (see the photo) disappeared, after whole day negotiation, someone (we are not sure if the person is from the company) told us they shall reimburse the flight ticket to Lima after signing the declaration letter in Spanish. We don't want to sign any documents that we can't fully understand, and also we were worried about any complications after concussion syndrome, then we paid the flight by ourselves, and left the beautiful but also a place with terrible memory.

  Hodaka took us to the most beautiful and quiet places of all. Highly recommended!! Took seven tours with them total in five days.

  Hodaka was polite and professional from the beginning, tailoring our tour based off of our time limitations, budget, and desired itinerary. Most companies I had spoken to previously, refused to allow us to do a group 2 day tour, but Hodaka was flexible and made it work for us. Our driver, Luis, was an excellent guide through the Salar. He was friendly, flexible, and accommodating to the group's various requests. Also, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and overnight accommodations.

  Did the one day and morning + sunrise tour. Both were amazing! The guides were friendly, took tons of time taking photos and drove incredibly safe. Highly recommend. Hey provide all the props you need and have great picture ideas. Highly recommend!
