DO NOT use Ripley tours!the capacity of the car was 7people,but they forced to arranged 8people!so the seats was really jam-packed. And more, they suddenly change the tour fee.I didn’t believe that attitude.

DO NOT BOOK WITH RIPLEY. There are many tour companies in Uyuni, and despite the fact that Ripley is in the city centre, and has seemingly good reviews if you google them, they are not a reputable company. I sent an email with my feedback to them on February 5th. Today is February 19th. They have yet to acknowledge or respond. 1) They will pawn you off on another company. They will explain the tour you are getting, but then pawn you off on another company who has room in their vehicle. This is not what they told you when you pay up front. 2) They are more expensive than the other companies, with an inferior product. I was charged 800 Bolivianos, while other people for the same tour were charged 600 and 750 Bolivianos. 3) Their tour guides will outright ignore you if you don't speak fluent Spanish, leaving you to get the information from other people in the group. 4) The Salt Flats of Uyuni are the main reason why people want take this tour. Our guide sat in his car, we had to fight with him to actually drive us away from the oasis and took a few pictures with one person's camera and that was it. We didn't get to do any of the fun perspective photos other groups get to do. After he did a couple of photos with us, he handed us a trex and went back to sit in his car. 5) Other tour groups received rain boots for the salt flats. We just had to go bare feet or have our shoes soaked through. 6) Accommodations are terrible. No running water, despite the agency telling you that there would be hot showers. The door to our rooms didn't even close. The last night we stayed at a place that didn't have electricity. We made the best of it and had fun, but this was the opposite again of what Ripley told me when I booked with them. 7) They refused to let us see the sunset on the salt flats despite us staying in Uyuni. On the third day we were supposed to watch the sunset. We didn't. All the other groups left early, and our guy was barely up. 8) The guide brought his friends over to make inappropriate advances towards the women in our group 9) There was an elderly man in our group. He fainted on the third day. The guide did nothing and then walked away. Luckily us other travelers were there to help him out and make sure he was ok. 10) Day 3 - we did nothing. We stopped at Laguna Verde at 8am, after setting out around 6:30 or 7am, but it wasn't green. I found out he told the Spanish people in my group that it doesn't get green until the afternoon. Then we drove the whole day, stopping briefly for lunch. I paid a lot of money for a 3 day tour, and I got a 1.5 day tour and then one day of driving in a jeep all day.

Our driver lost control of the car and sped off the main road at 90km per hour nearly flipping our vehicle. We were delayed in our trip by several hours and had to cut our trip short. Additionally, some of our food was destroyed in the car crash, and we were not given anything to replace it. Our driver also got lost on our approach to Laguna Colorado, and we arrived after sunset, missing the supposed highlight of the tour.

In Uyuni the chances of tour in the Salar go wrong are high. And I was very concerned about this. Luckily I found Ripley tours and it was amazing. They had good prices, good cars and our guide (Armando I think) was just great. At the the last day he even took us to an extra place wich was incredible.
