::The food is amazing and fairly priced, and the staff are friendly. Average plate price BoB 15-30. The produce is properly sanitized, so it is safe to eat (unlike most of Bolivia). I ate here several times, and enjoyed the flavor and texture of every dish. Healthy food is quite rare in Bolivia, but the Condor serves it up for a good price. Portions are quite good. They also operate all-vegetarian trekking tours, ranging from 1-4 days. I did the 4 day tour (with Crispin) and we explored the beautiful Bolivian Andes, ate vegetarian food, and spent time in community-serving local hostels. The tour includes accommodation, healthy food, cave paintings, the Maragua Crater, dinosaur footprints, swimming in a water fall, following trails that don't appear on any maps, and just fantastic scenery (Price about BoB 800 or USD 115). Tours can be arranged inside the cafe, with their English speaking staff. I met the owner, Randy, who takes no profit from the restaurant and the business. All of the money is plowed back into the communities with which they operate. All the other staff are Bolivian. This is the best example of eco-tourism that I have ever encountered. On my four day tour, I learned how the cafe engages with various villages to build new facilities, pick up trash, and capture a larger, more equitable share of tourism dollars. All of the staff are paid a fair wage, and the agency does a good job spreading dollars between the hostels, guides, cooks, drivers, and coordinators. Rest assured, your money is going to the right people.
